My fiancé and I began our home buying search in February of 2019. He had just recently moved back into the area after being away for school, where we met. I was still living away and looking to relocate into the area with him. If being a first-time homebuyer wasn’t enough of a struggle, add in variables of not knowing the surrounding area, doing walk-throughs of homes via FaceTime, and trying to coordinate finding a new job without knowing when you are able to move. Lyssa was our rock since the beginning of our journey and never failed to impress. She went above and beyond to address our concerns and made sure that we understood every step of the way. We ended up finding a home in East Islip that needed some work, but had good bones to work it. Neither my fiancé nor I were able to see the home during the open house as there were very limited hours, so we sent his parents with Lyssa to look at the home. Lyssa assured us of the great deal we would be getting on the house and the potential for expansion when we start a family. We trusted her entirely and put an offer on the house without even seeing it! Our offer was accepted and the first time we were able to see the house was after we had an inspection in April. We were able to go into contract in May and we thought we were on a good schedule to move! But, the house was a short sale and there were a lot of moving parts which severely delayed the closing of our home. It seemed to be one thing after another after another that came up. We were having issues with our potential mortgage company due to me having to relocate into the area and not having continuous employment. We were heart broken and felt we were at a dead end as we ran out of options for financing. Lyssa handled EVERYTHING for us and referred us to another company that handled all our obstacles with ease. We were able to finally breathe as we were back on track with closing. We were estimated to close in June and then June was pushed back to July. Then there were issues with the title of the house and July closing became October closing. In the meantime, I had to forfeit a job that I accepted as I wasn’t moved into the area yet. It wasn’t an option to move without knowing if we were going to get the house. The issues with the title didn’t seem likely that they would get resolved, and unfortunately there was poor communication from the listing agent. Lyssa continued to pursue and push in order for us to get answers about closing. I ended up having to make the risky move of coming to Long Island in order to be available at a moments notice if something came up for the house. We were fortunate to be able to stay with some of his family while we waited. Lyssa assured and reassured that our patience would pay off and it would all be worth it. Two months go by and we still hadn’t had any updates on the title clearing. We were beginning to lose hope and thought of restarting the home buying search when finally we heard good news that the title was clear and we were able to move forward with processing our mortgage and closing. Every step of the way, Lyssa was there to guide us and handle concerns we didn’t even know about. We abruptly got a closing date and were pressured to close on the house quickly from the listing side. While my fiancé and I were excited to finally have a home to call our own, little did we know the night before closing, Lyssa was on the phone with our mortgage company addressing concerns and making things happen. Morning of closing, we had our final walk-through and became aware of the issues and how closing almost didn’t happen. She accompanied us to closing and sat with us the entire time and spoke up and advocated for us about a potential problem with the heat in the house (which was resolved). She shared in our joy as we closed on our first home. There were many ups and downs in our home buying process, but Lyssa was there every step of the way, ahead of the game, to make this happen. We honestly would not have been able to do this without her. We would recommend Lyssa to anyone who is looking for an agent that is committed and dedicated. We truly felt like her only clients due to the amount of time she spent with us, for us. We can say we developed a friendship over the past year and were finally able to call the house our home on November 8, 2019. We can’t wait to invite her over after we get settled in. She made our dreams a reality and because of her we have a little slice of heaven that we get to call our own as we begin our future together. We could not be more thankful or appreciative of Lyssa!

This is my second time working with Lyssa. I didn’t hesitate to contact her once I knew I was serious about purchasing because I trust her and that is a rare find. This time around was different as we were mid pandemic and the housing inventory was incredibly low, while demand extremely high. Lyssa was so responsive and readily available to show me a house anywhere and anytime. Even when she wasn’t permitted to be there, she would be on FaceTime with me. I couldn’t have asked for better support throughout this process and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Lyssa started helping us in our home search in November 2019. At first it was slow because of the time of year. We were hoping things would pick up in the spring, and then there was COVID. Lyssa remained loyal to us as well as to her company. Because of the restrictions that were put on realtors, Lyssa was unable to go into homes with us. However, that did not stop her from helping us. Lyssa Gugliotta is truly a pleasure to work with. We sat around the dining room table in my parents' home and I felt as though she were a member of our family. Last summer, after living in my home for fifty four years, I decided it was time to sell. I didn’t know anyone in real estate but a number of houses in my neighborhood were for sale. I called some numbers on the for sale signs and made some appointments to meet with agents and get started. Coach was one of my choices and they sent me Lyssa. She went through the house and gave me an idea of what I might sell for. Her estimate was similar to others but she made me feel that she understood how much my house meant to me and would show it with respect and care. It was hard for me to get the house ready for an open house. I often called Lyssa for guidance and consolation when I felt overwhelmed. She was always there for me. The house sold very quickly and it was so hard to downsize. Luckily,I had my family and Lyssa to help me. Lyssa is so knowledgeable regarding the real estate business and never too busy to return a call, give excellent advise and answer my many questions. My advice to anyone wanting to sell their home is to hire Lyssa.After one meeting to explore selling our home, Lyssa came back prepared with an impressive hardbound presentation book with comps in the area that immediately sealed the deal.Lyssa provided direction on staging our home for the best showing. The pictures she arranged for the online showing were so impressive the we felt like we should purchase our house. The pictures were fantastic. We were hesitant on the open house but Lyssa recommended a one day showing that she organize and conducted professionally.
